Diagnosing a dent on your car is an area of the surface that has been inverted metal or distorted plastic. On most new car models today, car bumpers are made of plastic, which is flexible enough to bounce back to its original shape. For dents, we use special tools that provide suction on the dent area while we apply heat to pull the dent back into its original form. If there isa crack in the paint on an inverted surface, we will perfectly match your paint color through the use of our touchup process. Filling Punctures
Technically a puncture in your car’s body surface is a hollowed opening or separated area that needs to mended back together. For puncture hole in your bumper, we’ll have to cut off any edges that may be sticking out of the opening. We remove any dirt and debris to clean the area before sanding it down to a smooth surface. Then we patch the opening up from behind with a durable adhesive tape or sticky backing like Bondo. Then, a plastic filler, like Epoxy can be applied to the front of the opening. After the filler dries, the entire front area is sanded down to smooth surface. Finally, we match your car’s exterior paint color and apply the touchup to make your car look picture perfect once again.
Sealing Up Cracks
Typically, Cracks are small fractures or splits in the car’s exterior surface without any subsequent surface panel destruction. For cracks on a bumper, we clean the damaged spot with a surface cleaner and smooth out the damage with specialized tools. Similarly, for body panel cracks we then introduce a plastic filler that matches your car’s specific exterior material. After the filler dries, it is sanded down and smoothed once again to prep the area for painting. We match your body exterior and apply the paint touchup. Once it dries, your car is as good as new!
Removing Scrapes
Scrapes are narrow, often long, indented scratches, usually caused by another external force moving against the area. To fix scrapes, the damaged area must be buffed and properly cleaned. Any smaller indentations beyond a surface scratch must be then smoothed out so a plastic filler can be then applied to fix the damaged area. Then, we use specialize tools to manipulate the surface to its original shape. We then match the exterior paint color and apply the correct paint touchup to get your car back on the the road.
